Around 10-12 years ago I participated in the start of a marketing transformation journey. We went from focusing on campaigns and sales, to building relationships with our customers.

Within our organization hierarchical structures were replaced by agile teams, and employees and customers all started to take a vital part in improving existing, and developing new products.

Leaders were coached on authentic leadership and their role as service providers for their team-members. 

I completed my master degree in Communication & Leadership in 2015, and by that time we had all seen and become acquainted with the new tech-giants. Along the way I realized that we had worked like these companies in so many ways, but while they can recruit and build their organizations by attracting likeminded people, existing businesses need to un-learn old knowledge, models and principles - and start working on the new ones. That is a whole different ballgame. 

Convinced there are so many businesses who need to start on their transformational journey - going from a traditional industrial mindset to a digital, I mobilized the courage it took to hand in my resignation, started my own micro business and became part of Innovation Lab. Innovation Lab is Scandinavia's oldest Innovation House, founded in Denmark. Our physical offices are in Aarhus, Copenhagen, Stavanger, Haugesund, Switzerland, Dubai, San Francisco and Silicon Valley. We walk the talk, our collaboration is an agile and dynamic organism where we are all driven with a common passion for helping businesses stay relevant. 

I want to spend the rest of my work-life helping as many businesses as I can to go from old to new, from industrial to digital, from marketing-driven to market-driven. That is building sustainable organizations for the future.
